当“汽车之父”卡尔·本茨制造出人类历史上第一台汽车后,人们的生活便发生了翻天覆地的变化。在逾百年的汽车发展史中,制车工艺和材料不断升级,汽车照明系统也在不断进化。
从“睁眼瞎”到“千里眼”,作为汽车的“眼睛”,在一百多年间里,汽车照明系统究竟是如何进化的呢?

当时的汽车驾驶员们经常会在夜间、大雾、雨雪天气中因看不清路面而迷失方向或撞车,因此他们便把当时日常生活中最常用的煤油灯和蜡烛装入灯筒中,随后挂到汽车上(这一做法和此前马车的车灯类似),最早的车辆照明装置因此应运而生。

卤素灯内部采用了高熔点钨丝,同时注入了碘或溴等卤素气体,点亮后钨元素会在高温下升华,而冷却后的钨元素会重新凝固到钨丝上,这样一来就延长了耗材的寿命,也不会使灯罩变黑。

但也正因为卤素灯的灯光偏黄,导致了灯泡的照明亮度不足,在良好天气情况下照明范围较小,较暗的灯光也可能使驾驶员看不清前方道路。
